Moving to, from or within Brown County?

Below you’ll find information about transferring your housing assistance from one housing authority to another. This process is called “portability.”

Moving to Brown County

If you are moving to Brown County, Wisconsin, your current housing authority must mail or email your portability documentation prior to your arrival to Brown County. Please allow 14 days for us to review your documents and schedule your portability meeting. If you have questions, please contact info@bchousingauthority.org.

Moving within Brown County

Before you begin the process to move within Brown County, Wisconsin, you need to complete move/portability request form. Once we receive your completed form, we will determine if your move request is approved or denied. Failure to complete these documents prior to your move may result in the termination of your assistance.

Moving out of Brown County
